tdaytip

Thank me later Thursday is changing to Mom Tip Tuesday.  It just is.  I tried to read DM's post, but I hadn't had my coffee and the bolts holding my chair to the base snapped. The chair fell to the right side, slamming my head in to a piece of furniture(she may have explained the change, but I had to go be Mickey's "life caddy*" for a few minutes and drink some coffee...)

I can tell you, I am pretty sure it was something she came up with at Bloggy Boot Camp.  I see that we are still going to thank you later, but the topic wasn't addressed, so the switch is on.  It just is.

Tips, I got.  It is just a matter of sorting out which ones to present, according to what category, and how.
I can offer tips on:
--being thrifty (rubber scrapers[spatulas] can save as much as a half serving or more when scraping out the pan. And may make the difference between a cake doing what it is supposed to or going 1950s horror film all over the inside of your oven)
--homeschooling(get rid of the denim jumpers and Keds with socks.)
--wardrobe care and maintenance(give dress clothes a minute in the dryer and hang them--they dry quickly and wrinkle free. Usually.)
--I can offer recipes and review books.

But.
I also need tips, adoption tips(is the agency worker treating me like a special needs child?  How can I tell?), travel tips(what do I really need to pack?), and real world organizational tips(when to sell it when to donate?), beauty tips for the, quite frankly, nowhere near as mature as I look(the eye wrinkles. oh my word), blog tips**.  And so on and so on.  Hopefully, someone will link up and offer those.

In the meantime, I think the very best tip I can give you is to share the best recipe for an easy dinner.  I can serve this and get a punctual husband(better get home or the kids will eat it all).  I can mess this up and still get blessings and honor.  To me it is just okay, but that is not what matters.  Impact is what matters. Try serving a glass of water with no ice on the side, no one will notice if there are no sides or dessert.   It would totally be worth doubling.

Taco Twist Bake

2-½ c cooked taco seasoned meat
2 8oz cans tomato sauce
¼ c. chopped green pepper
1 8oz package spiral pasta, cooked and drained
1 c. sour cream
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, divided

In a saucepan, combine the taco meat, tomato sauce, and green pepper; bring to a boil.  Meanwhile, combine pasta and sour cream; place in a greased 8 inch baking dish.  Sprinkle with ½ c. of cheese.  Top with meat mixture; bake uncovered @ 350 for 25 minutes.  Sprinkle with remaining cheese.  Bake 5-10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted.  4-6 servings.

**In golf, a caddy is the person who carries a player's bag, and gives insightful advice and moral support. A good caddy is aware of the challenges and obstacles of the course being played, along with the best strategy in playing it. This includes knowing overall yardage, pin placements and club selection. A caddy is not usually an employee of a private club or resort. He is classified as an "independent contractor," meaning that he is basically self employed and does not receive any benefits from his association with the club. Some clubs and resorts do have caddy programs, although benefits are rarely offered.

As in life...

**For example, this post was lousy cute with clip art, and then I found out you had to get it by grabbing the URL[it never occured to me that a clip art was the same animal as a button or a background]... I was only moving them the way I was taught by someone else.  I found it out at a site where she was super anal about making sure she got the credit{read: when you bust me out like I am a thief before I get on your site, I am not going to be interested in doing business with you}***, but I found out nonetheless-- so until my camera gets back from the office, and even then... Seriously. This blog will be dull, because my scum filter won't let me look at homeschooling websites but will let my kids and me find porn if we search for free images of quiet pastoral themes. By the time I found out I had spent too much time on this anyway and could spare no more to go back and do it right.

***Wow! Another tip!  This is easy.
