wildhair

You know sometimes you are in God's Waiting Room(a term I dislike), and something silly comes along and you are swept away...  that is me today.  I don't know how I got here.  This isn't me.  I don't have the skills.  Or the organic gifts, but it seems like a fun time.  So Tator Tots and Jell-o said that Stories of A to Z said...

So I said...

Here it is in all its nature...
Now this is a big step for me.  Not only do I not have the camera skills, I have been freezing cold in my 85 year old house for weeks and don't care about anything but the approach of Spring.  But when I get my face on, this is what I do.

In the back is Garnier Skin Renew... a vitamin C thing.  Something has to go on before the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind(this stuff really works).  Next is the eyeliner in gray that came from Sally Beauty Supply for $0.99.  Just on the top lid.  I keep the pencil dull, so it is smudgy and soft going on.  On the lid, I use a really light buff colored shadow to smooth it out and lighten up.  It is a Rimmel set that I have tried all sorts of things with and have finally just used up this one color.  I don't know why the Clinique Mascara that came in the free gift with purchase is not in the pic.  That is next.  Then the lipstick, from said gift with purchase, which is sort of a lip stain type followed by the peachy Cover Girl Blush.  Next comes the wild hair...

First I spritz a little of that spray to give the flat hair body(the one in the picture is a salon brand.  I don't know that it is any better than any other...it was a Christmas gift).  Actually I had done this in the before pic. I took another before pic and decided to change shirts because we are going someplace and... Oh, whatever.  Then I brush it good.  Then the fat curling iron and a little Sebastian Shaper Hairspray.

Welcome to the Less is More School of advanced, this-is-as-good-as-it-gets-on-my-budget.

or this, (due to an argument about which after pic is best, I am posting two).

for heaven's sake.  It's too cold to exercise.  Come to the party!!!!

  1. I am so glad you found your way to the party! Yay for you for being brave and having the courage to bare it all and share your tips with the blogosphere ;). I've seen that Maybelline age rewind and was tempted to try it. With your vote, I'm trying it! You look lovely and natural.

(And YES! I soooo want spring to make it's way here. I'm currently about 2 inches from my fire trying to stay warm.)
